What To Expect

 

Your first session will be a “get to know you” session.  I will ask a lot of questions; some may appear redundant and/or even unnecessary.  We discuss your desired goals for counseling. This will also be your time to get to know me, in order to determine whether I am the right fit for you as a therapist.  It’s important that you feel comfortable with your therapist in order to have the best outcome of therapy. It will be uncomfortable at first; especially if you’re not very good at talking about yourself, but I promise it will feel better with time.
